Coverage at a Glance
Different service types carry different warranty periods. Here is exactly what each covers.
Repair Labor
90 DaysAll labor performed during a repair service is warranted for 90 days from the date of service. If the same issue recurs within this period, we will return and correct it at no additional labor charge.
Installed Parts
1 YearParts supplied and installed by Ohio Gas Fireplace carry a one-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship. This is in addition to any applicable manufacturer warranty on the part itself.
New Installations
1 YearComplete gas fireplace, gas log set, and gas line installations are warranted for one full year from the installation date — covering both labor and all components we supply and install.
Annual Maintenance
30 DaysRoutine annual maintenance service is warranted for 30 days. If a covered issue arises within 30 days of a maintenance visit that is directly attributable to our service, we will address it at no charge.
What Is Covered
- All parts installed by our technicians during a repair or installation
- Labor performed by Ohio Gas Fireplace technicians
- Gas fireplace and gas log set installations completed by our team
- Chimney liner and cap installations
- Fireplace remote and control system installations
- Outdoor fireplace and fire pit installations
- Gas line connections made by our licensed technicians
What Is Not Covered
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or failure to follow manufacturer operating instructions
- Normal wear and tear on consumable components (batteries, igniter tips, pilot assemblies subject to normal aging)
- Damage resulting from unauthorized repairs or modifications by parties other than Ohio Gas Fireplace
- Pre-existing conditions present before our service was performed
- Damage caused by acts of nature, flooding, fire, or power surges
- Manufacturer defects covered under a separate manufacturer warranty
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect the function or safety of the appliance
- Service calls resulting from customer-adjusted settings or controls
How to Make a Warranty Claim
Contact Us
Call or email us within the applicable warranty period. Have your original invoice or service date ready.
Describe the Issue
Explain the problem and confirm it relates to work we performed. We may ask a few diagnostic questions over the phone.
Schedule Service
We will schedule a return visit at no charge to inspect and correct the covered issue as quickly as possible.
Important Notice
Warranty claims must be initiated within the applicable coverage period. Claims submitted after the warranty period has expired will not be honored. Ohio Gas Fireplace reserves the right to inspect the appliance before authorizing any warranty repair. Warranty coverage is non-transferable and applies only to the original service address.
Limitation of Liability
The warranties described in this policy are the sole and exclusive warranties provided by Ohio Gas Fireplace Repair & Installation. All other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
In no event shall Ohio Gas Fireplace Repair & Installation be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the services performed, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary by state. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
This warranty policy is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any disputes arising under this warranty shall be resolved in the courts of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
